Insurance questions, answered straight

Everything people ask us about claims

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?

No. You have the legal right to choose any body shop you want. Your insurance company can suggest a shop, but they cannot require you to use one. The choice is always yours, and you can bring your car to All Rite Collision no matter who your insurer is.

What is an insurance supplement?

A supplement is additional damage we find and bill for after the original estimate. Most estimates are written before anyone removes a bumper or panel, so the hidden damage underneath isn't counted. When we tear the car down and find more, we document it and submit a supplement to your insurer so the full, correct repair gets approved.

Why is my insurance estimate lower than the real repair cost?

Because the first estimate is usually written from the outside, before anyone sees the hidden damage. Crumpled metal, bent brackets, broken sensors, and structural issues behind a bumper or panel often aren't visible until teardown. That's normal, and we handle the difference for you through a supplement with your insurer.

Who deals with the insurance adjuster, me or the shop?

We do. We communicate with the adjuster directly, provide the documentation and photos they need, and negotiate the supplement if more damage is found. You don't have to play middleman.

Can I choose OEM (original manufacturer) parts?

In many cases, yes, and we'll advise you on what's right for your car. We discuss parts options with you and document what your policy and the repair require, so the car is repaired safely.

What if hidden damage is found after the claim is approved?

We document it and file a supplement. Finding additional damage during the repair is common, and it doesn't mean you pay out of pocket. We handle the added items with your insurer as part of managing your claim.

Do you work with all insurance companies?

Yes. We work with all insurance companies and we don't shy away from any of them. We also handle fleet accounts.

Do you help with the claim if it's a third-party (not-at-fault) accident?

Yes. Whether it's your insurer or the other driver's, we help you open and manage the claim and make sure the repair is done correctly.
